One of the most common challenges I have heard recently from solicitors is that they just can’t find the time to spend on growing their law firms.
When I dive a little deeper, the main problem seems to be a very simple one.
Interruptions.
Interruptions from emails, clients, staff, uncle Tom Cobley et al.
Unless or until you set in stone some time in your diary to stop all of these problems, you can never grow your practice to the next level.
Look, what you do is important, I accept that. But, to put it bluntly, you are not surgeons.
If you wait another 30 minutes to read that flashing, exciting looking email, all will still be ok in your part of the world.
If you have to leave the staff member to work out where the paperclips are themselves, that is ok too. He can find them, it might take two minutes, but they will miraculously present themselves.
We all have interruptions, me too.
I have worked in a solicitors practice just like you, and dealt with management, marketing and client issues all at the same time.
However, I can tell you from my own experience, and now that of working with hundreds of solicitors, that unless or until you take charge of your diary, you will never see the growth in your law firm that you would like to.
My advice – just spend the first 30 minutes of every day working on growing your practice.
Preferably, do this before you even get into your office, so there are less distractions.
Do this for a month and tell me how much better your business is for it!

The Fast Track To More Clients Programme starts today for the ambitious, committed solicitors who are ready to grow their practices. I have already had detailed one to one meetings with each of them to map out their Marketing Masterplan for the next eight to ten weeks. They have lots to do, but I am there to help them every step of the way. I know that at the end of this period they will have more automated marketing processes in place and their practices will be thriving.
If you would like to be the first to know when the programme opens again (likely to be January), please click the link to be added to the Priority Notification List and you will have the first chances of securing your place.
